== Mechanism of Action == When the blade of a SawStop makes contact with any part of the body, the device's internal system reacts almost instantaneously. The saw removes power from the blade and activates a brake system, causing the blade to retract below the table. This action can effectively prevent the loss of fingers or other serious injuries.
