MANAGER: (urgent) Have you finished those new features yet?
DEVELOPER: (without looking up) Almost there! Just give me two weeks!
MANAGER: Two weeks? You've said that for the last month!
DEVELOPER: (still typing) I promise, just two more weeks!
- (The MANAGER shakes his head and leaves. The DEVELOPER smirks and continues to type.)*

- (Two weeks pass. The CLIENT enters, looking hopeful.)*
CLIENT: (excited) So, are the new features ready?
DEVELOPER: (turning in his chair) Just a little more time! In two weeks, everything will be ready.
CLIENT: (raising an eyebrow) Another two weeks?
DEVELOPER: (confidently) Trust me, it'll be worth the wait!
Act 3[edit]
Scene 1: The Boat Dock
- (The DEVELOPER sneaks out of the office with a large suitcase. He heads towards the dock where a boat waits.)*
MANAGER: (offstage, yelling) Where do you think you’re going?
- (The DEVELOPER jumps into the boat and starts the engine.)*
DEVELOPER: (shouting back) I’ll be back in two weeks!
- (As the boat pulls away from the dock, the MANAGER and CLIENT watch in disbelief.)*

MANAGER: (sighing) I knew we should have fired him.
- (Lights dim as the DEVELOPER sails away, the sound of the boat fading into the distance.)*
